Instead of relying purely on the physical labor of warehouse associates to push carts down aisles, source and scan items, then transport them to the relevant location, we needed to create a system rooted in automation.
The challenge was to deploy a technology that could work alongside humans to automate the process and assist with locating, selecting, and logging items for shipping with minimal manual input.
